Linear Alabaster Wall Light – 50 cm Natural Stone Sconce

Switch it on and the wall changes. This linear alabaster wall light is a slim capsule of real stone, 50 cm tall and 10 cm wide, with softly rounded ends. Two warm points of light sit inside it, one near the top and one near the bottom. The stone glows from inside, and its grey-and-white veins become part of the light. It runs on a plug-in cord, so there is no wall to chase. Choose a gold or black finish on a 304-grade stainless steel frame.

Real alabaster, shaped by hand

Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth. It is soft enough to cut and translucent enough to let light through.

Our craftsman reads each block before he cuts it. He shapes the capsule, rounds the ends and polishes the face, but he leaves the veins alone. That is why no two pieces match. The veins run differently, the colour shifts, and the stone looks deeper where it is denser.

Unlit, it is a pale grey-white panel with fine veining. Lit, it becomes a glowing column with a soft wash on the wall behind. Hand-cut from natural alabaster, so your light belongs to you alone.

Gold or black: which finish suits your room?

Gold warms the stone. It sits well with cream, beige, marble and walnut. Black draws a sharper outline, like a pen line around the white alabaster. It suits plaster walls, monochrome rooms and black hardware.

Both use the same alabaster capsule, the same size and the same two G9 holders. Only the frame finish changes. Pick the one that matches the metal already in your room. Other frame finishes are made on request.

Where this alabaster sconce works best

• Beside a headboard: a matched pair either side of the bed replaces table lamps and frees your nightstands.
• Hallway, entrance or staircase: one piece, or a run of them, gives a warm glow to walk past without flooding the space.
• Living-room accent wall: place it between two windows, above an armchair or beside a console for a soft vertical accent.
• Dressing area: flank a mirror on both sides for even, shadow-free light.

The stone turns two small bulbs into a soft, even glow, not a hard point of light. It is easy on tired eyes at night. Beside a bed, it gives enough light to read without waking your partner.

The light, the frame and the fitting

The frame, side bars and backplate are 304-grade stainless steel, finished in gold or matte black. Stainless steel does not rust. We back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

Inside are two G9 bulb holders. The bulbs are not included. Fit two 3000K warm-white LED G9 bulbs for a cool-running, warm glow. The light runs on 220–240 V and is not dimmable.

It is rated IP20, for indoor walls only. Keep it out of bathrooms, wet areas and outdoors. Mount it with its centre about 150–160 cm from the floor for accent light, and adjust when you flank a bed or mirror. Leave about 15 cm clear on either side.
