Alabaster Outdoor Wall Light – 70 cm Long Stone Sconce

The first thing a visitor sees of your home is the gate and the front door. This alabaster outdoor wall light makes that first look a warm one. It is a 70 cm column of natural stone and matte black steel that glows soft and golden the moment you switch it on.

Two panels of real alabaster sit above and below a black centre band, with a slim brass-finish accent bar running down the front. It sticks out just 9 cm from the wall, so it sits flat and neat on a pillar, a plaster wall or stone cladding.

Why does alabaster glow like this?

Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth. It is soft enough to cut by hand and thin enough to let light through. Our craftsman reads each block first, then cuts the panels so the best veins face out.

That is why no two lights are the same. The veins run differently. The colour shifts from cream to honey. The stone looks darker where it is denser. One block of stone. One light. Never repeated.

Switch it on and the stone glows from inside. You get a wide, soft band of warm light, not a sharp point. By day, the black and cream column still looks calm and finished against any wall.

Where does a 70 cm alabaster outdoor wall light work best?

It is made for entrance gate pillars, the walls on each side of your front door, garden boundary walls and covered balcony walls. Porch side walls and garden path walls work well too, as long as the wiring has a weather cover.

For a balanced front, fix one on each side of the main door. To mark the way in, fix a single light on a gate post. Mount it 180–200 cm from the ground. That puts the full column in view, and the glow falls on the path and steps below.

It suits modern, Japandi, contemporary and industrial fronts. It looks best on stone cladding, white plaster, brick and dark wood gate panels. On a very ornate classical front, or on tiled pillars that cannot be drilled, choose a different piece.

Light, frame and weather

The light comes from a built-in LED, in 3000K warm white. There is no bulb to buy, and no bulb to change on a wet ladder in the monsoon. The LED module carries a 1-year warranty on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1B).

The frame, backplate and centre band are 304-grade stainless steel in a matte black finish. Steel like this does not rust in Indian rain, so it carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1A).

It is rated IP65: dust-tight and protected against water jets. That is why it can live on an open gate pillar through rain, dust and summer sun. It runs on 220–240 V. It is not dimmable. It gives a fixed, warm 3000K glow.
