Marble Wall Sconce – Black Marble Sphere and Brass, 38.5 cm

Some walls just need one thing to look at. This marble wall sconce is that thing. A polished black marble sphere sits under a tall frosted column of warm light, held on a slim brass-finish arm. It stands 38.5 cm tall on a 10 cm round backplate.

Hang one on a plain wall and the wall starts to feel finished. Hang a pair beside your bed or a console, and the room feels balanced.

Real black marble, shaped by hand

Marble is stone formed beneath the earth over a very long time. Pressure and heat leave white veins running through the black. You can see them on the sphere when the light catches it.

Our craftsman turns each sphere round, then polishes it until the stone shines. He doesn’t paint over the veins. Every sphere carries its own pattern, so no two sconces look exactly alike.

Above the stone sits a column of opal borosilicate glass. It is clear, pure glass melted from silica sand and boric oxide, with white added while it is made. Switch it on and the column glows a soft warm white. The light falls on the stone below, and the polished marble gives back a quiet shine. Cool stone, warm glow. That contrast is the whole design.

Where a marble wall sconce works in your home

Light and fitting

The arm, collar, rod and backplate are 304-grade stainless steel with a brass finish. That warm gold tone sits right beside black stone. The steel carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

It takes one E14 bulb, up to 40 W. The bulb is not included. Fit a 4–6 W warm-white LED at 3000K for the best glow. The opal glass column hides the bulb, so you see no filament and no glare.

The light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm light. It runs on 220–240 V and is rated IP20, for indoor walls only.
