Overview
The house goes quiet. You want one more chapter. You want a soft pool of light on the page, not the ceiling light in your partner’s eyes. This wall mounted reading light for bedroom walls does exactly that. A puck of real travertine sits on a slim solid wood bar. The stone head pivots to put the light where you need it.
Under the stone sits a built-in 6W LED in warm 3000K white. Point the head down onto your bedside table to read. Turn it out and it washes the wall with a soft, even glow. Choose the bar in light oak or walnut. It stands 23 cm tall.
Real travertine, honed by hand
Travertine is stone formed beneath the earth, layer by layer, around mineral springs. That is where its small natural pits come from. No two pucks share the same pattern.
Our craftsman in Greater Noida looks at the stone before he cuts it. He chooses which face goes to the front. Then he hones each puck by hand, so the stone’s own texture stays. The bar is solid wood, finished so its grain stays in view.
Switch it on and the light picks up the stone’s pits and the wood’s grain together. Stone and wood. Two natural materials, one warm glow. Because both are real, the colour, pits and veining vary from piece to piece.
Where a travertine reading light works best
- Beside the bed: one on each side, about 120–140 cm from the floor. Tilt each head toward its reader.
- Living rooms and reading corners: a warm accent beside a sofa, armchair or shelf.
- Hallways and entryways: a soft wall wash at 150–170 cm, with a run of sconces about 2–2.5 m apart.
- Japandi, warm-minimal and natural rooms: plaster, oak, linen, stone and warm neutrals.
It is a reading light and an accent light, not the main light for a room. At 23 cm tall with a 10 cm head, it fits a narrow bedside wall or a tight hallway.
Light and fitting
The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light that is easy on the eyes at night. It is not dimmable. The LED module carries a 1-year warranty on orders from 4 October 2026 (Legal Policies 4.1B).
It runs on 220–240V and is hardwired to the wall. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we help free on a video call. It is rated IP20, for indoor dry rooms only. Keep it out of bathrooms and away from the outdoors.

Vastu tradition asks for soft, warm light in the bedroom, kept for evenings and rest. Cool white is left for kitchens and study tables. It also advises against strong light directly above the bed. A low, warm light beside the bed is preferred.
This light follows that guidance. Its 3000K glow is warm, and the head turns down onto the page, not into your eyes. A matching pair on either side of the bed keeps the wall balanced. Travertine and wood are natural materials of the earth. Vastu favours them over plastic in the room where you sleep.

·Spot-clean with a pH-neutral cleaner on a cloth — never spray directly.
·Wipe the stainless steel gently dry after cleaning. Avoid abrasives and harsh chemicals.

·Switch off the circuit before any electrical maintenance.
·Check mounting hardware periodically and tighten if needed.
