Overview
A leaf of natural alabaster, cut in two down the middle, with a brushed bronze-finish leaf set across its heart. This leaf wall light is 42 cm (16.5 in) tall and 26 cm (10.2 in) wide, with a 6W warm white LED built in behind the stone.
Switch it on and the two stone halves glow from within while a soft halo spreads onto the wall around them. A thin line of light shines through the gap at the centre, like light through the vein of a leaf.
Alabaster, cut and polished by hand
Alabaster is a soft, translucent stone that formed beneath the earth over thousands of years. Light passes through it, which is why it glows instead of simply shining.
Our craftsman cuts each leaf from one slab, splits it into two matching halves and polishes the edges smooth. The honey and brown veins run across both halves, so you can see they came from the same piece of stone.
The leaf in the centre is 304-grade stainless steel in a brushed bronze finish, with a lifetime rust warranty. Its fine brushed lines catch the light from every side.
Where this leaf wall light works
- Living rooms. On a panelled or painted wall beside a sofa or armchair, as in the photo below.
- Bedrooms. In pairs on either side of the bed, in place of bedside lamps.
- Hallways, staircases and entrances. A leaf wall lamp that greets guests with a warm glow.
- Bathrooms, hotels and restaurants. Sealed to IP65, it suits damp rooms and busy spaces alike.
It looks at home on sage, cream and blue walls, beside boucle, walnut, brass and marble.
Light, fitting and IP rating
This leaf wall light has a built-in 6W LED in warm white (3000K). There is no bulb to buy or change. The light is not dimmable and runs on 220–240V. The built-in LED carries a 1-year warranty.
It is rated IP65, so the stone and LED are sealed against dust and water jets. That makes it safe for bathrooms and covered outdoor walls as well as indoor rooms.
Wipe your leaf wall light with a soft, dry cloth and dust the bronze-finish leaf with a dry duster. Spare parts stay available for 10+ years.
