Amber Glass Wall Light – 30 cm Borosilicate Glass Saucer Sconce

Switch it on and the wall turns the colour of late sun. This amber glass wall light sets a 30 cm saucer of amber borosilicate glass around a single G9 glow, so a soft, honey-coloured halo spreads across the paint behind it.

It sits just 12 cm off the wall. The light shines two ways at once: forward through an opal borosilicate glass cylinder, and outward through the amber saucer onto the wall.

Amber borosilicate glass, shaped and fitted by hand

Glass is where nature becomes light. Ours is borosilicate glass, melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. The amber colour goes in while the glass is made, so it runs right through the saucer. It is not a coating, and it will not peel or fade.

The saucer is shaped while the glass is hot: a shallow dome inside a wide, flat rim. Then it cools slowly so it stays strong. In our Greater Noida factory, a craftsman fits it by hand onto the stainless steel centre and lines up the opal cylinder at its heart.

Light does the rest. Through the opal cylinder it turns soft and even. Through the amber it turns warm, the way sun looks through a glass of tea, and it lands on your wall as a round glow.

Where an amber glass wall sconce looks best

Put a pair either side of your bed at 140–150 cm. The glow is soft enough for the last page of a book, and gentle enough for sleep.

In a hallway, mount one at 180–200 cm so the amber halo meets you at eye level. On a living-room feature wall, set it between picture frames or above a console table. Beside a mirror in a dry powder room, centre it at eye level, about 165–170 cm.

It also mounts on a ceiling. Fixed flat overhead, the saucer becomes a small flush light for a passage.

Light, fitting and finish

The centre cap, holder housing and backplate are 304-grade stainless steel with a polished chrome finish. The chrome catches the amber light without fighting it. Gold or matte black finishes are made on request.

Stainless steel will not rust. Every stainless steel part carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.

It takes one G9 bulb, and the bulb is not included. Fit a 4–6 W G9 LED in 3000K warm white. The amber deepens beautifully at that warm tone.

This light is not dimmable, so the warm 3000K glow you pick is the glow you get. It runs on 220–240 V, is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, and is hardwired to the wall or ceiling.
