Overview
An egg of real alabaster that glows warm from within, like a small moon on your bedside table. This night lamp is a smooth oval of natural stone sitting in a small black base. Switch it on and the whole egg lights up softly, showing the clouds and honey veins of the alabaster. It gives just enough light to wind down by, or to find your way at night.
Two sizes
- Small: 12.9 cm (5.1″) tall and 9 cm (3.5″) wide. A quiet night lamp for a bedside or a nursery shelf.
- Large: 15.6 cm (6.1″) tall and 11 cm (4.3″) wide. More glow, for a console, a sideboard or a reading nook.
Many people place one of each together; the pair looks lovely side by side.
Real alabaster, shaped by hand
Alabaster is a soft, translucent stone formed in the earth over thousands of years. Light passes through it, so when the lamp is on, every vein and cloud inside the stone shows.
In our Greater Noida factory, a craftsman shapes each egg from a natural block, hollows it for the light and polishes it smooth by hand. Some glow creamy white; others carry blush and amber clouds. No two are ever the same.

Light and fitting
The light is built in, so there are no bulbs to change. It plugs into a normal wall socket, and a button on the base switches it on and off. It is made for dry indoor rooms.
