Straw Pendant Light – Handwoven Wavy Natural Shade, 48 cm

This straw pendant light is a wide, wavy shade of natural grass fibre, 48 cm across, woven by hand over a 304-grade stainless steel ring. The wavy rim is shaped as it is woven, so no two edges fall quite the same. Switch it on and the grass glows golden, spreading warm light across your table with no harsh line at the edge. It hangs from a matte black canopy, adjustable up to 150 cm. E27 holder, bulb not included; fit a 3000K warm-white LED. Hang one over your dining table and it changes how the whole room feels.

Where it fits

This straw pendant is sized for a round dining table (80–100 cm), a kitchen island where one statement piece is better than a cluster, or a reading nook where you want soft diffused light. The 48 cm shade reads large without feeling heavy — there’s a lightness to handwoven grass that solid glass or stone can’t match. Light & finish

The matte black metal canopy and cord hold the straw pendant in place without drawing attention — the shade is the focal point. A warm-white LED at 3000K brings out the golden-tan colour of the natural grass; cool or daylight bulbs wash it out. The open weave lets light travel sideways as well as downward, so the glow extends beyond the table and softens the whole corner.
