Overview
A spinning-top of turned wood, with a bare bulb glowing beneath. This pendant is shaped on a lathe from solid wood: a slender spindle with carved rings that flares out into a wide, thin brim. The bulb hangs just below the brim, so the wood throws warm light down onto the table and its outline casts a sculptural shadow on the wall. It is 23 cm across and 24 cm tall, on a twisted brown fabric cord — small and graceful, like a piece of turned craft.

Every curve and ring is turned by hand on a lathe, so the shade feels like a crafted object rather than a factory part. Wood is warm to look at, lit or unlit, and its grain and tone vary slightly from piece to piece. The open bulb gives a bright, direct pool of light below, while the brim keeps glare out of your eyes from the side. It takes a standard E27 bulb, so you can choose a decorative clear filament bulb and change it easily.

The shade is solid turned wood in a warm brown finish (tone varies with the light and the grain). The bulb hangs below the brim on a twisted brown fabric cord. Because the bulb shows, a clear warm E27 LED filament bulb (2200–2700K) looks best — it gives a candle-like glow and a soft pool of light on the table.
