Black Amber Glass Floor Lamp – Modern Teardrop Shade | Ambrosia

A black floor lamp with an amber borosilicate glass teardrop shade changes the feel of a room the moment you switch it on. The Ambrosia by Jagmag Lights stands 158 cm tall, takes a standard E27 bulb, and runs from an inline foot switch at the base. When lit, the amber borosilicate glass turns a deep honey-gold — warm, quiet, and nothing like overhead light.

Designed and made by Jagmag Lights in Greater Noida, India. The slim matte-black metal pole pairs with a hand-finished amber borosilicate glass teardrop shade — built for Indian homes that want a hotel-lounge feel without the hotel price. Spare parts supported for 10 or more years.

Where it fits

• Living room reading corner — at 158 cm, the shade sits at seated eye level, pools light downward onto the book or your lap, and keeps the rest of the room in comfortable shadow.
• Bedroom beside the TV wall — warm amber spills across the wall behind, sets the mood for wind-down, and never wakes a partner with overhead glare.
• Entrance corridor or narrow foyer — the slim pole fits tight spaces, and the teardrop shade greets guests with a warm glow before they reach the main room.
• Hotel suite, Airbnb flat, or home office — no drilling, no fixed wiring, fully portable when you move; the foot switch means one tap controls the entire corner.

Why you’ll use it every day

Ceiling lights illuminate everything from above — practical for tasks, flat for evenings. The Ambrosia sends light at eye level: easier on tired eyes after a long day, soft enough that a partner still asleep won’t stir, and warm enough to make any corner feel like a hotel lounge. The amber borosilicate glass tone flatters any skin tone and softens hard lines in the room — the kind of light that makes guests ask where you found it.

The inline foot switch changes how you use the room. Overhead off. Corner on. One tap, no reaching for the wall. No electrician, no permission from the housing society, no ceiling drilling. Place it, plug it in, and it is done. If you move flats, it moves with you. For a wider spread of the same amber warmth across a larger room, the Glass Globe Floor Lamp – Gold 3-Globe covers more ground with three glass globes.

Light & finish

Unlit, the amber borosilicate glass shade reads as a warm honey-brown sculpture on a slim black pole — decorative even when switched off. Switch it on and it filters light into a soft downward glow, spreading onto the floor and spilling warm colour onto the wall behind. Borosilicate glass holds its clarity and colour for years; it does not yellow, crack, or haze with heat the way thin glass does. The matte-black powder-coat finish on the metal pole and round base is durable, scratch-resistant, and wipes clean. The combination of matte black and warm amber pairs naturally with walnut wood furniture, linen and jute textiles, raw-concrete and microcement walls, and terracotta or olive tones. It will look out of place against cool chrome fixtures or clinical white interiors where the amber warmth clashes with the overall palette.
