Overview
One leaf missing, and a whole chandelier looks tired. This clear glass leaf chandelier part brings it back.
It is a long, slim leaf in the shape of the Ashok leaf, the one strung into torans over Indian doorways. A central vein runs its full length, with fine ribs slanting out on both sides. At the top, a short solid glass stem lets it hang from your fitting. It is a spare part, not a light: a box of 100 clear glass leaves, ready for the jhumar you already love or the one you are building.
What is this Ashok glass leaf made of?
Clear borosilicate glass. It begins as natural raw ingredients: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, melted together until they run like honey.
Our glassworkers shape that molten glass into the leaf, with its vein, its ribs and its stem, in our own Greater Noida factory. Nothing is added to colour it, so the leaf stays crystal-clear.
Borosilicate glass is stronger and handles heat better than ordinary glass. It also resists chemicals, so each leaf keeps its shape and clarity over the years without turning yellow or cloudy.
What does a clear glass leaf do to the light?
Light passes through it clean. The ribs bend it gently and scatter a soft sparkle across the room, without tinting the light at all.
Hang many together and the chandelier starts to move. Each leaf catches the glow at a slightly different angle, so the whole fixture shimmers like leaves in a breeze.
Where does a 220 mm glass leaf fit?
At about 225 mm long with its stem and 45 mm wide, it is a generous accent. It suits multi-arm chandeliers, layered jhumars and designer pendant clusters.
It also works as a decorative leaf on wall lights, hanging lights, table lamps and floor lamps, in classic and modern designs alike. Fabricators use it to build new fixtures. Restorers use it to replace a leaf that broke or went missing.

No. It is a box of clear glass leaves, a spare part for a chandelier or lamp you already have or are building. It has no holder, bulb or wiring.
