Alabaster Ceiling Light – Square LED Flush Mount, 40 cm

Switch it on and a square block of stone lights up from within. This square ceiling light is a box of real alabaster, 40 cm on each side and 10 cm deep, fixed flush to the ceiling with two small brass-finish caps on its face. A built-in 24W LED sits inside, so the light comes through all five faces of the stone: the base glows soft and even, and the sides throw a warm halo onto the ceiling. It is rated IP65, so it works outdoors as well as in.

Real alabaster, cut and polished by hand

Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth over thousands of years. It is fine-grained and translucent, which is why light can pass through it and show every cloud and vein.

A craftsman in our Greater Noida factory reads each block before he cuts the panels, so the markings flow across the face and around the edges. He joins the panels into a clean square box, then polishes the stone by hand. No two lights carry the same pattern.

The two caps are 304-grade stainless steel in a brass finish, which never rusts, and we guarantee that for life.

Warm white or cool white: you choose

• Warm white 3000K. A golden glow that turns the stone the colour of honey. Best for bedrooms, living rooms and evenings at home.
• Cool white 5000K. A crisp, daylight-like light that keeps the alabaster bright white. Best for studies, kitchens, bathrooms and porches.

Where a square alabaster ceiling light works best

• Bedrooms. At 40 cm square, it lights a bedroom of up to about 12 × 14 ft, and the glow comes through the stone, so there is no harsh point of light above the bed.
• Living rooms, studies and dining areas. One light centred in the room, or two in a long space.
• Passages and lobbies. A row of them down a corridor reads like a line of glowing stone.
• Bathrooms, balconies and verandas. Rated IP65, it handles steam, rain splash and dust.

Light and fitting

The light comes from a built-in 24W LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. Pick warm white 3000K or cool white 5000K when you order. The LED carries a 1-year warranty. It is not dimmable.

It fixes straight to the ceiling, so it needs no false ceiling. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we help free on a video call.
