Travertine Ceiling Light – Small Flush Mount with Opal Globe, 20 cm

Switch it on and a bowl of stone glows around a soft white globe. This small travertine ceiling light sits flush to the ceiling. A shallow bowl of real travertine curves out from a walnut-tone wood canopy, and an opal borosilicate glass globe sits inside it. A built-in 12W LED lights the globe, and the glow catches the stone’s pits and warm cream colour. It is 20 cm across and only 10 cm deep, and it is rated IP65, so it is made for outdoors as well as in.

Real travertine, cut and honed by hand

Travertine is stone formed beneath the earth, where mineral water rose and settled over thousands of years. That is why it has tiny natural pits and soft bands of cream and beige.

A craftsman in our Greater Noida factory shapes each bowl, then hones the inside and the rim by hand. He leaves the pits open, because they are the stone’s own character. No two bowls are the same.

The round canopy is real wood in a walnut tone, turned to show the grain. The globe is opal borosilicate glass: clear glass melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, with white added while it is made. It hides the LED, so the light never glares.

Warm white or cool white: you choose

• Warm white 3000K. A soft, golden glow that brings out the cream of the stone. Best for bedrooms, passages and evenings on the balcony.
• Cool white 5000K. A crisp, daylight-like light. Best for bathrooms, utility areas and porches where you want to see clearly.

Where a small outdoor ceiling light works best

• Balconies, verandas and porches. Rated IP65, it handles rain splash and dust, so it can light a covered balcony or the space outside the main door.
• Bathrooms and powder rooms. Steam and splashes are no problem for an IP65 light.
• Passages and corridors. A row of them, about 1.5–2 m apart, lights a passage evenly with nothing hanging into the walkway.
• Low-ceiling bedrooms and kids’ rooms. At 10 cm deep, it keeps the room feeling tall.

It suits Japandi, wabi-sabi and warm-minimal homes: travertine, walnut, linen and plaster walls. See all our flush mount ceiling lights, or the stone ceiling lights.

Want the same stone in the rest of the room? Pair it with the travertine dome pendant light over a table, or the travertine disc wall light beside a bed or mirror.

Light and fitting

The light comes from a built-in 12W LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. Pick warm white 3000K or cool white 5000K when you order. The LED carries a 1-year warranty. It is not dimmable.

It fixes straight to the ceiling, so it needs no false ceiling. Any metal fitting inside is 304-grade stainless steel, which never rusts, and we guarantee that for life. Any licensed electrician fits it in 20–30 minutes, and we help free on a video call.
