Overview
You hung the painting. Now let it be seen after dark too.
This picture wall light holds a 400 mm tube above your frame and pours warm light down the canvas. A 40 mm ball of natural stone sits in the joint. It is the one quiet detail on a light made to stay out of the painting’s way. In plain words, it is an art light for painting: it lights the canvas, not the room.
What this picture wall light does
A half-round tube hangs from a curved arm on a round wall canopy. Just above the tube sits a knuckle joint.
You tilt the tube up or down with the picture already hung. Set the beam once and it stays there. No more bright top third and dark bottom.
The tube is open only along its underside. From the sofa you see a solid antique brass bar, never the bulbs. The light seems to come from nowhere.
Two E14 holders sit inside, one at each end. Two lamps give an even wash: no hot spot in the middle, no fall-off at the corners.
Natural stone and stainless steel, shaped by hand
The ball is natural stone, formed beneath the earth. Our craftsman cuts it to 40 mm and polishes it smooth. He leaves the veins alone.
So the tone and veining change from piece to piece. Two on the same wall will be close, not identical. That is the stone, not a flaw.
Everything else is 304-grade stainless steel in an antique brass finish. The patina is soft, closer to old hardware than new lacquer. It sits easily beside gilt frames, walnut and old joinery.
The steel will not rust. It carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
Switched off, it is a plain antique brass bar and a stone. Switched on, the stone catches the spill of warm light and the frame below comes alive.
Where a picture wall light works best
- Over a painting or print: the 400 mm tube suits frames about 60 to 90 cm wide. Centre it and let the light spill just past the frame edges.
- Above a mirror: over a round or arched mirror it lights the mirror and the face in front of it.
- Over open shelves or a bar cabinet: tilted down, it washes the shelf and picks out glass and bottles.
- Along a hallway of pictures: two or three at matched heights turn a corridor into a small gallery.
- In the living room: above a family portrait or the painting over your sofa.

Which bulb suits a picture light?
It takes 2 × E14 candle bulbs, 4–6 W each. The bulbs are not included. Fit two 3000K warm-white E14 LEDs.
Warm 3000K light flatters oil paint, wood frames and anything with red or ochre in it. It keeps the warmth in the pigment.
It runs on 220–240 V. It is not dimmable; it gives a fixed warm light. It is rated IP20, for indoor, dry rooms.
Because it uses bulbs, in five years you change a bulb, not the light. We make it in our own Greater Noida factory. Spares stay in stock for 10+ years, so you can reorder the arm, the knuckle or the canopy.

Vastu
Vastu tradition prefers warm white light in living areas and passages. It also asks that no corner is left dark. Soft accent light on art is part of that layered idea: steady, warm and without glare.
A picture light fits this well. Its 3000K light falls on the painting, not into your eyes. Vastu guides often hang uplifting art on the east or north wall of the living room. Think a sunrise, a river or a family portrait. This light can sit above whichever one you choose.
Natural stone and steel bring the earth element; warm light brings fire, in a calm form. The rounded ball and curved arm keep sharp edges out of the room. Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right. This light simply sits well inside it.
Pairs well with the brass mirror light, a 30 cm scalloped picture-style light for mirrors and smaller frames.

FAQ
How big is this picture wall light?
The tube is 400 mm (40 cm) wide and 50 mm across. From the top of the canopy to the bottom of the tube it is 150 mm, and the stone ball is 40 mm.
What size painting does it suit?
Frames about 60 to 90 cm wide. As a rule, the light should be half to two-thirds the width of the frame, so a 400 mm tube over a 75 cm frame is close to ideal.
Does it come with bulbs?
No, the bulbs are not included. It takes two E14 candle bulbs, one at each end of the tube; fit 4–6 W warm-white 3000K E14 LEDs.
Is it dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
Will it rust, and is the stone real?
No, it won’t rust. The tube, arm, knuckle and canopy are 304-grade stainless steel in an antique brass finish, with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. The ball is real natural stone, cut and polished, so its tone and veining vary slightly from piece to piece.
Is it sold singly, and how fast will it arrive?
It is sold as a single light. In stock, it ships within 4 working days; made to order, in 12–15 working days; a custom size or finish takes 15–20 days. Shipping is free across India, and several pieces for one hallway ship together.
Can I get it in a different size or finish?
Yes. We make it in-house, so the tube length, arm projection and finish can change, which helps with an unusually wide painting. Custom runs take 15 to 20 days, against 60 to 120 days for an importer.
How do I clean it?
Use a dry microfibre cloth on the metal. The antique finish is meant to age, so skip metal polish, which strips it back to bright. Wipe the stone ball with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight after.
