Crystal Botanical Wall Sconce — Wall Art That Also Lights the Room

Most wall lights do one thing — light the wall and nothing else. This one is different. The Crystal Botanical Sconce from JagMag Lights is built to look like a branch of flowering plants: three ribbed clear glass globes sit like blossoms on gold metal stems, surrounded by clear glass leaves with fine ribbing, amber cognac glass orbs and clusters of white opal beads on gold pin sprays. Switch it on and the warm light from each globe catches every glass surface — leaves, orbs, beads — and throws a soft scattered pattern onto the wall behind. Switch it off and it still looks like it belongs in a gallery.

The fixture is 900 mm tall and 350 mm wide — proportioned to work on a feature wall in a living room, flanking a bed, lining a corridor, or paired above a reception desk in a hotel lobby. Three in a row down a hallway creates a finished, rhythmic look.

Where This Wall Light Works Best

In a hallway or corridor, mount two or three at 150–160 cm from the floor, spaced 200–250 cm apart — the gold catches the ambient light and makes a narrow space feel like it has character. In a living room, a pair flanking a sofa or artwork creates a symmetrical focal point. In a bedroom, one on each side of the headboard adds warmth at exactly the right height. The fixture also works well in hotel lobbies and reception areas paired symmetrically on either side of a feature wall.

Installation Notes

Standard single wall rose mount, Ø150 mm back plate. Mount at 150–160 cm centre-height for corridor use, or 180–210 cm for feature-wall use. Requires 3×G9 bulbs (not included); 2–4 W warm white G9 LED at 2700K is recommended. Maximum load 25 W per socket. Wiring by a licensed electrician is recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this in a hallway?
Yes. Mount it at 150–160 cm from the floor to the centre of the back plate. For a long corridor, space them every 200–250 cm and the repetition creates a polished layered effect.

What height should I mount this?
For hallways and corridors: 150–160 cm from floor to back plate centre. For living room feature walls: 180–210 cm works well so the 900 mm body sits at eye level when standing.

What bulb works best?
G9 LED, 2–4 W, warm white (2700K). This makes the glass globes glow amber and picks out the texture in the leaves and orbs. Avoid daylight bulbs (6500K) — they make the glass look cold.

Can I use two as a pair?
Yes. They look excellent symmetrically — flanking a bed, framing a mirror, or either side of a feature wall. Keep them at the same height and equidistant from the centre.

Do the bulbs come included?
No. The fixture ships without bulbs. You will need 3×G9 LED bulbs (warm white, 2–4 W, 2700K).
