Wood Base Table Lamp – Hemp Rope Shade on Stacked Natural Wood, 40 cm

This wood base table lamp pairs a sculptural base of stacked natural-wood pebbles with a hand-wound hemp rope shade — a combination that feels entirely handmade, imperfect in the best way, and grounded in the Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in simplicity. Standing 40 cm tall with a 22 cm rope shade, this rope table lamp is compact enough for a bedside table yet expressive enough to anchor the mood of an entire corner. Light filters through the woven hemp fibres in a warm, dappled pattern — not the uniform glow of a polished shade, but something altogether softer and more human. It plugs into any standard socket with an inline cable switch, so there is no rewiring needed and no electrician required.

Where a rope table lamp fits

This lamp looks at home wherever natural textures lead the design — a linen-draped bedroom corner, a low console in a Japandi living room, a reading nook with rattan chairs, or a meditation space beside a jute rug. If you are layering organic textures across your room, our Wooden Sphere Table Lamp and the quiet Wooden Bedside Lamp with Linen Shade pair beautifully alongside it for a nature-layered look. Why you’ll use it every day

A wood base table lamp earns its place by doing more than just providing light. The woven hemp shade gives every room a warm, amber-toned glow that shifts subtly as you move around the space — the kind of light that helps you slow down at the end of the day. Because it is plug-in, you can reposition this lamp on a whim: move it from the bedroom to the living room when you want a different mood. The inline switch is easy to reach without disturbing the shade, and the natural wood base requires no maintenance beyond an occasional dry wipe.

Light & finish

This hemp rope lamp uses an E27 holder and performs best with a 6–9 W warm-white LED at 3000K (bulb not included). The hemp rope shade acts as a natural diffuser, softening the light and casting a gentle dappled glow on surrounding walls. The base is untreated natural wood with visible grain and stacked-pebble texture — a deliberate expression of the wabi sabi aesthetic where imperfection is the point. The gold-finish 304-grade stainless steel holder fitting connects the two elements without adding glare or visual noise.
