Tripod Table Lamp – Teak Wood Amphora, Raw Silk Shade, 67 cm

This tripod table lamp is a teak wood amphora raised on a slim three-legged stand. The teak is dark and distressed, so the grain shows through like old furniture. The tripod and scroll accents are antique-gold-finish 304-grade stainless steel. On top sits a 508 mm oyster raw silk coolie shade. At 67 cm tall, it fills a console on its own. You notice it before you switch it on.

Where it fits

Put it on a living room console, a drawing room sideboard or an entry hall pedestal. At 67 cm with a 508 mm shade, one lamp is enough for a full console. For a small bedside table, it is too big. Why a tripod table lamp works on a console

Three legs spread the weight. So a tall amphora body stands steady, even on a narrow console. The legs also lift the wood off the table, which makes the lamp look lighter than its 2.8 kg. The wide coolie shade pushes light down and out at a low angle. You get a soft pool of warm light on the console and the wall behind it, with no glare in your eyes.

Teak, shaped by hand

Teak takes decades to grow its grain. In our Greater Noida factory, a craftsman turns the amphora, then distresses the surface by hand so the grain rises and the edges darken. No two bodies come out the same. The raw silk shade is whip-stitched along the edge. Switch it on and the shade turns a soft honey colour, and the teak goes deep bronze-brown.

Light and bulb

The lamp takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W. The bulb is not included. Fit an 8W 3000K warm-white LED (about 700 lm). Cool or daylight bulbs flatten the teak and make the silk look grey. The lamp is not dimmable. It plugs into any wall socket, so no wiring is needed.
