Overview
Some lights shout. This white chandelier speaks softly. Switch it on and five raw silk shades turn your ceiling into a warm, quiet glow.
It is a 5-light chandelier, 60 cm wide and 43 cm tall. Five swan-neck arms curve out from a fluted steel orb, and each arm holds a white empire shade in raw silk. A slim column and a small finial finish it, in the gentle, vintage style of a French country home.
Raw silk, shaped by hand
Silk is a natural fibre, spun by the silkworm long before it reaches our bench. Raw silk keeps its soft slubs and texture, so no shade looks machine-flat.
Our craftsman stretches the silk over each tapered shade frame and finishes the edges by hand. It is slow work, one shade at a time, because a crooked seam shows the moment the light comes on.

Light and fitting
The frame, arms, chain and ceiling canopy are 304-grade stainless steel with a brushed nickel finish. The steel will never rust, and we guarantee that for life on orders from 4 October 2026. Read our legal policies for the details.
This white chandelier takes five E27 bulbs, up to 40W each. Bulbs are not included. Fit 3000K warm-white LEDs of 6–8W: they stay cool under the silk and give the warmest glow.
The chandelier hangs on a chain from a round ceiling canopy, wired with Teflon-coated copper wire. Your electrician sets the drop by taking out chain links. It is not dimmable. It is IP20, made for indoor rooms, and runs on 220–240V.

Vastu tradition asks for soft, warm light in a bedroom, never harsh light pouring straight down on the bed. Warm 3000K light, filtered through silk, gives exactly that kind of gentle glow.
Vastu guides suggest placing lights on the east or north side of a room, keeping the south-west calm, and not putting the main light in the south-east. In a bedroom, hang the chandelier towards the centre of the room, not right above where you sleep. In a dining room, centre it over the table so the light spreads evenly.

Where does a white chandelier look best in an Indian home?
A bedroom is the best fit. At 60 cm, this one suits a 10 × 12 ft room with a queen or king bed, and it works over a round dining table or in a light-walled living room too.
What ceiling height does it need, and can I change the drop?
You need at least 8.5 ft of ceiling. The drop is set at installation by taking out chain links: keep it short for 8.5–9 ft ceilings and let it hang longer on taller ones.
Which bulbs does this white chandelier take?
