Overview
Some lights fill a room. This one warms it. Our vintage glass chandelier hangs three milk-white globes under a pleated cream shade, so the light reaches you twice softened. It feels like a light that has always been in the house.
The three globes are opal borosilicate glass, the glass most people call milk glass. They sit on curved arms, held by chains from a round canopy. A small steel ball joins the arms, and a ring of studs holds the pleats in place. Every metal part is 304-grade stainless steel in an antique brass finish.

Milk glass, melted from sand and shaped by hand
Borosilicate glass begins as silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. White is added while the glass is made, and that is what turns it opal. It stays clear and pure inside, so the colour never fades.
Then come the hands. In our Greater Noida factory, a craftsman bends each arm into its curve, fits the cups, and sets every pleat of the cream fabric shade by hand. The studs go on one at a time, all the way round. No two pleats sit quite the same, and that is the point.
Switch it on and the opal glass glows evenly, with no hot spot and no glare. The shade above catches the upward light and turns it into a quiet halo. That is what makes this vintage glass chandelier feel so gentle at night.
Where a vintage glass chandelier looks right
It is made for a dining table for four, a breakfast nook or a compact drawing room. It also suits a bedroom sitting corner, a reading corner or a hotel suite. Anywhere you want a warm, old-world feel without a large fixture, this one fits.
It loves dark wood tables, cane chairs, cream or ochre walls and rattan accents. Shop more small chandeliers, compare our glass chandeliers, or browse by room: dining room, living room and bedroom chandeliers. Need a bigger piece for a hall? See every chandelier we make.
The light, the frame and the fitting
The frame, arms, chains and canopy are 304-grade stainless steel in an antique brass finish, the same family as our other brass and metal chandeliers. The steel will never rust. We back that with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
Inside each globe is an E14 holder, three in all. The bulbs are not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED of 4–6W in each; the holders take up to 40W. The light is not dimmable, and it gives a fixed warm glow. Power runs through Teflon-coated copper wire, on 220–240V. This vintage glass chandelier is IP20, made for indoor rooms.
The shade is 24.4 cm across and the whole light measures 36.15 cm from canopy to globes. The drop is adjusted at installation. We help you fit it on a free video call, and any licensed electrician can do the wiring.

Vastu
Vastu tradition places the dining area in the west or north-west of the home. It asks for soft, warm light over the table rather than a harsh white tube. Warm yellow and beige tones are said to make a meal feel calm and welcoming.
This vintage glass chandelier follows that thinking. Its light is a warm 3000K, softened twice by opal glass and a cream shade. Hang it at the centre of the table, so no corner is left dark and no bulb glares into anyone’s eyes. Pair it with a wooden table, as Vastu suggests.
Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right. We follow its ideas of warmth and balance; we do not promise luck.
