Know your light

The crystal vine chandelier from Jagmag Lights centres on a hand-formed satin gold metal helix that spirals over a 2,400 mm drop, dressed in clear marquise cut-glass leaves, ribbed crystal globe pendants, and pearl-white opal beads with gold metallic berry terminals at the branch tips. The ⌀1,200 mm round canopy anchors the whole piece flush to the ceiling. Every element is assembled in India by Jagmag Lights and built for double-height spaces — grand foyers, staircase wells, and large living rooms where a standard short-drop fitting would look out of proportion.

Where it fits

  • Grand foyer entrances with double-height ceilings of 4,000 mm or more — the 1,200 mm canopy gives presence even when viewed from a mezzanine.
  • Staircase wells where the adjustable drop fills empty vertical air between floors elegantly, and the cascade reads as sculpture from every landing.
  • Double-height living rooms where a single centrepiece light needs to anchor a wide-open ceiling without looking lost or under-scale.
  • Large pooja rooms and temple sanctums where warm light, clear crystal, and vertical form together create the right atmosphere for daily worship.

Why you’ll use it every day

The ribbed globe pendants spread warm light wide and softly — enough to illuminate a foyer adequately on its own, without the harshness of a direct-light fitting that makes guests squint. The marquise cut-glass leaves pick up even ambient daylight and throw small glints back across the ceiling and floor, so the chandelier earns its presence whether or not the lights are switched on. Because it ships in sections with steel cable extensions already included, you dial in the exact drop height on installation day rather than guessing from a photograph. For a staircase, that precision means the bottom of the cascade sits at exactly the clearance height that works for the space.

Light & finish

When lit, the warm glow from the globe pendants washes up and outward through the vertical space, while the marquise leaves refract points of light onto surrounding walls and the staircase, creating a moving shimmer that shifts as people pass beneath. When unlit, the satin gold helix and clear leaves read as open-form sculpture — the spiral retains presence in daylight. The satin gold finish pairs naturally with marble flooring, cream and warm-white walls, dark hardwood, and stone-clad entry features. It also reads well against deep charcoal or navy accent walls where the gold tone stands out cleanly.

Vaastu & positive energy

In Vaastu, clear crystal is traditionally associated with clarity and the amplification of positive energy — it is considered to scatter and distribute light rather than concentrate it in one point. Satin gold metal is associated with warmth and the fire element in moderation, which is considered auspicious at the entrance of a home. A spiral or helix form is traditionally thought to represent smooth, uninterrupted energy flow. Placing this chandelier at the centre of a double-height foyer or above a staircase well is associated with a welcoming quality and a sense of arrival that carries through the rest of the home.

Common questions

What ceiling height does this crystal vine chandelier need?

A minimum ceiling height of 4,000 mm (approximately 13 ft) is recommended. The standard drop is 2,400 mm including the canopy — you need at least 1,500–1,800 mm clearance from the bottom of the chandelier to the floor for comfortable passage beneath it.

Can the drop length be customised?

Yes. The included steel cable extensions give a standard adjustable range up to 3,600 mm total. If your stairwell or foyer is taller, contact Jagmag Lights before ordering — custom drop lengths are produced in 15–20 working days.

How heavy is this chandelier and what ceiling hook does it need?

The approximate weight is 25 kg. Your ceiling must have a load-rated hook or mounting bracket capable of supporting at least 50 kg (a 2× safety factor is standard). Confirm load capacity with a structural engineer before installation in older properties.

Does this chandelier work in a staircase?

Yes — the adjustable drop was designed for staircase wells. Measure from your ceiling hook point to the lowest floor level visible through the stairwell opening, and set the drop so the base of the cascade clears that floor by at least 1,500 mm.

Can I use this in a large pooja room or temple space?

Yes. The spiral form, warm glow from the globe pendants, and clear crystal elements make it well suited to large pooja rooms and sanctums. Confirm the ceiling height meets the 4,000 mm minimum and ensure the space is fully enclosed and indoor-only.
