Overview
A frosted glass chandelier that doubles as sculpture — this 40 cm globe clusters eight opal borosilicate glass petals around a chrome-finish metal frame, each petal lit from within by a G9 LED. The opal borosilicate glass diffuses light in every direction: no harsh beam, no dark corners, just a soft warm wash across your ceiling and walls. At 40 cm wide, it fits a compact dining table, a high-ceiling bedroom, or the centre of a living room that needs a focal point without overwhelming the space.
Where it fits
- Dining room, 10 ft × 10 ft and above — hang 75–90 cm above a 4- to 6-seater table for an even warm wash across every place setting.
- Master bedroom with a 9+ ft ceiling — the 40 cm globe gives soft ambient fill without a downlight grid; the adjustable drop rod suits your room height.
- Guest sitting room or drawing room — works as a focal-point light that creates mood without overwhelming the furniture.
- Hotel-suite or serviced apartment bedroom — a clean globe profile that gives ambient light and visual interest from a single ceiling point.
For larger spaces, the Ceramic Ginkgo Leaf Chandelier – 85 cm Handcrafted Statement Light and the Glass Feather Chandelier – Hand-Blown Glass Cascade are worth considering.
Why you’ll use it every day
Switch it on 30 minutes before dinner. Eight opal borosilicate glass petals wrap the light in warmth — no glare, no harsh shadows, just an even glow across the table. G9 holders let you dial in brightness: use 3W LEDs for a quiet dinner mood, 4W for task lighting at the dining table. Built in our Greater Noida factory — spare borosilicate glass petals are stocked at Jagmag for 10+ years, so a broken petal is a 15-minute fix, not a replacement hunt.
Light & finish
Each petal is opal borosilicate glass — it absorbs G9 light and releases it as a soft milky glow, not a direct spot. The chrome-finish metal frame reflects ambient light between the petals, adding a subtle brightness at the hub without competing with the glass. Fit 3W–4W warm white G9 LEDs at 3000K and you get enough fill light for a 150–180 sq ft room with zero brightness fatigue.

Place this frosted glass chandelier at the centre of your dining room or drawing room. Vaastu guidelines recommend white and pale tones in the social zones of a home — they support clarity, openness, and easy conversation. Opal borosilicate glass spreads light without harsh edges, which keeps the energy of the room calm and welcoming. The round globe form, with no sharp corners, is traditionally considered a positive shape for a centrepiece light.
Care
·Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
·Spot-clean with a pH-neutral cleaner on a cloth — never spray directly.
·Wipe the stainless steel gently dry after cleaning. Avoid abrasives and harsh chemicals.
·Indoor use only unless an IP rating is specified.
·Switch off the circuit before any electrical maintenance.
·Check mounting hardware periodically and tighten if needed.
FAQ
Where does a frosted glass chandelier look best in an Indian home?
At 40 cm diameter, this frosted glass chandelier works best over a 4- to 6-seater dining table — hang it 75–90 cm above the tabletop. It also suits a living room with a 9–10 ft ceiling or a compact master bedroom. Hotel suite bedrooms use this style for soft ambient light without a downlight grid.
What ceiling height does this frosted glass chandelier need?
8 ft is the minimum. At 9–10 ft you get comfortable clearance with the drop rod set to a medium length — the globe sits at a good visual height without head-clearance issues. For ceilings lower than 8 ft, a semi-flush fitting would be the safer choice.
How many bulbs does this glass chandelier use and what type?
Eight bulbs, G9 socket type. Fit 3W–4W warm white G9 LEDs at 3000K. The opal borosilicate glass petals soften the output — at 4W per lamp you get a warm, well-lit room without the petals looking washed out or too bright.
Can I adjust the drop of this frosted glass chandelier for a lower ceiling?
The drop rod is adjustable. For a 9-ft ceiling, shorten the rod so the base of the globe hangs at around 7.5 ft from the floor over a dining table, or higher over a seating area. Let us know your ceiling height when ordering and we will set the rod before dispatch.
Can I get this glass chandelier in a different size or finish?
We manufacture in our Greater Noida factory — custom diameters and finishes available on request, with a typical lead time of 15–20 days vs 60–120 days for imported pieces. No middlemen, no import duty. Send us your room dimensions and we will quote the same day.
Does this frosted glass chandelier come with installation support?
Free video call support from Jagmag. Any licensed electrician installs it in 60–90 minutes using the ceiling canopy kit. Spare opal borosilicate glass petals are stocked for 10+ years. Not sure whether this size fits your ceiling? Message Jagmag — we will help you check in 5 minutes.

The warm finish looks decent in person, and the light feels calm in the evening. 🙂 above the sitting area.
