Overview
This kitchen island chandelier lines up six rounded shades of natural alabaster along a slim brass bar, 135 cm (53.1 in) long and 14 cm (5.5 in) wide. Brass collars sit between the shades, and the stone glows warm and shows its soft veining when lit. The bar hangs from three round brass ceiling plates: a brass rod in the centre and a thin cable at each end, 62.8 cm (24.7 in) apart. The overall height marked on the drawing is 150 cm (59.1 in). Alabaster is natural stone, so the veining and tone differ a little from one shade to the next.
Why choose this kitchen island chandelier
- Six natural alabaster shades in one straight line, a good match for a long island or table.
- Slim profile: only 14 cm (5.5 in) wide, so it does not block the view across the room.
- Brass bar, collars, rod and ceiling plates.
- Three ceiling points keep the 135 cm bar level and steady.

About alabaster
Alabaster is a fine-grained natural stone, see alabaster on Wikipedia. Its translucence is what lets the shades glow when lit. Colour and veining vary from piece to piece, which is part of the stone’s character.
