Fix the light to the slab, not to the gypsum board. Gypsum is made to hold its own weight and a few downlights, not a crystal chandelier. Your electrician should run a hook or threaded rod from the concrete slab through the false ceiling. Do this before the false ceiling is closed, if you can.
Keep the cove and downlights warm too. Many homes mix a 3000K chandelier with 6000K cove strips, and the hall ends up looking half cosy, half clinic. Match everything at 3000K.
