Overview
Switch it on and the glass breaks the light into fine vertical lines. This glass lantern pendant light is a tall column of clear reeded borosilicate glass inside a slim cage, 75 cm tall and only 17 cm wide. It hangs beside your bed, over a narrow console or down a stairwell, and turns one bulb into a quiet piece of architecture.
Look closely and the cage is three-sided, not square. A triangular top plate holds three slim posts, two cross rings and the reeded glass. Above it sits a tall holder with accent bands: black on the satin brass finish, white on the antique brass finish.
Why reeded borosilicate glass glows the way it does
Borosilicate glass starts as natural raw ingredients: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina, melted together. Nothing is added for colour here, so it stays clear borosilicate glass. Crystal-clear and pure.
The glass is shaped into fine reeds, rib after rib. Then our team in Greater Noida fits it by hand into the cage, so the ribs line up straight from top to bottom.
Here’s what the reeds do. Lit, every rib catches the bulb and spreads it into soft lines, with a warm core in the middle. Unlit, the glass and the brass-finish cage read as calm, graphic decoration.
Where a glass lantern pendant light works best
Beside the bed. Hang one either side and free up your bedside table. Let the base sit near bedside-table height. A matched pair feels tailored, like a good hotel room.
Over a console or narrow table. The slim 17 cm width suits a hallway console or a bar without crowding it. Hang the base about 70 to 85 cm above the surface.
Down a stairwell. The 75 cm body plus a longer drop fills a stair void or a double-height corner.
Kitchen bar or dining corner. Hang a row for warm light with character.
Because the body is 75 cm tall, give it headroom. It is at its best under ceilings of 2.6 m or more. It suits warm plaster, velvet, timber, marble and panelling, and Art Deco, mid-century or modern homes. Keep it away from wet zones and cool-white schemes.

Light, finish and fitting
The cage, holder, rod and canopy are 304-grade stainless steel. Choose a satin brass finish with black accent bands, or an antique brass finish with white accent bands. The steel underneath will not rust, with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026.
It takes one E27 bulb, bulb not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED for the softest glow through the reeds. It runs on 220–240V. It is not dimmable. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms only.
It hangs on a slim rod, 1.5 m as standard, shortened at installation. Need it longer for a stairwell? Tell us the drop at order and we make it to height. The ceiling canopy is 90 mm. Any licensed electrician can fit it in 20 to 30 minutes, and we help on a free video call.

Vastu tradition asks for soft, warm light in the bedroom, not a harsh light straight over the bed. A pendant to one side of the bed, with a 3000K warm-white bulb behind reeded glass, follows that advice. The ribs spread the light, so there is no hard glare in your eyes.
For halls and stairs, Vastu guidance favours well-lit paths and no dark corners. A tall lantern on a stair landing or over a console does just that. Many Vastu writers prefer the east or north walls for light fittings and suggest keeping the south-east, the fire zone, for gentler light.
Clear glass lets light move freely, and the steel frame grounds it. We don’t promise luck. Vastu is a tradition of arranging a home so it feels right, and warm, even light is part of it.

FAQ
Is this a reeded glass pendant light?
Yes. The glass is clear reeded borosilicate glass, with fine vertical ribs running down its whole height. The ribs break the bulb into soft lines of light, so it glows without glare.
What are the two finish options?
You can choose satin brass with black accent bands, or antique brass with white accent bands. Both are the same 75 cm size, with clear reeded borosilicate glass and a 304-grade stainless steel cage.
How big is it, and can I choose the drop?
The glass cage is 750 mm tall and 170 mm wide, on a 90 mm canopy. It hangs on a 1.5 m rod as standard, shortened at installation, and we make a longer drop to order.
What bulb does it use, and is it included?
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included. Fit a 3000K warm-white LED for the softest glow through the reeded glass.
Is it dimmable?
No. This light is not dimmable. It gives a fixed warm 3000K light.
Will the brass finish rust?
No, the frame is 304-grade stainless steel under the brass finish, so it does not rust. It carries a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026; the finish itself is not covered.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No, it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms only. Use it beside a bed, over a table, in a hallway or down a stairwell.
