Overview
Picture a long dinner with the people you love. Thirty-two slim tubes of stone hang above the table, each at its own height, each glowing warm from inside. This rectangular alabaster chandelier turns your ceiling into a slow cascade of light.
Each tube is natural alabaster, 450 mm long and 40 mm across, capped top and bottom in matte black 304-grade stainless steel. The tubes fall in a staggered wave from a 4 × 2 ft (1219 × 610 mm) canopy, so the light follows the full length of a long table, a sofa run or a reception desk.
Why a rectangular alabaster chandelier glows like this
Alabaster is stone formed beneath the earth. It is soft enough to shape by hand and fine enough to let light pass through it. You can read more about alabaster, the stone, here.
Our craftsmen look at each block before they cut it. Where do the veins run? Which part is dense, which part is clear? Then they cut each tube, turn it and polish it by hand, and leave the veins exactly where nature put them.
Switch it on and the stone glows from within. Honey and dark-brown veins show through a warm amber glow, and no two tubes look the same. Switch it off and it still reads as real stone: a cream ground with dark veins, framed by black caps. One block of stone. One light. Never repeated.
Where this alabaster chandelier works best
- Large living rooms: the 4 ft canopy lines up with a long sofa and spreads soft light across the seating, with no single bright hotspot.
- Formal dining rooms: centred over a 10 to 12 seat table, the staggered tubes rise and fall above the conversation below.
- Double-height foyers: the wires let it hang lower in a tall void, so it reads well from two floors up.

Light, wiring and fitting
Every tube has a built-in warm white LED at 3000K. There are no bulbs to buy or change. It is not dimmable; it gives one fixed, warm light. It runs on 220–240V and is rated IP65, sealed against dust and water.
Each tube hangs on just one wire. As shown, the rectangular alabaster chandelier drops 1219 mm (4 ft) from the ceiling. The wires adjust up to 3048 mm (10 ft) in total, set by your electrician at fitting, and each tube can be moved to fine-tune the wave.
The canopy and caps are 304-grade stainless steel with a matte black finish. The steel carries a lifetime warranty against rusting, and the built-in LED is covered for 1 year, on orders from 4 October 2026. Read our Legal Policies for the details.
Fit it to a strong ceiling point that can carry the canopy and all 32 tubes. With 32 wires to set, a professional electrician is best. Keep at least 210 cm from the floor to the lowest tube where people walk. Our team helps you on a free video call while you fit it. To clean, dust the stone with a soft dry cloth; never use water or liquid cleaners on alabaster.

Vastu tradition favours warm, soft light in the rooms where a family gathers. A warm white 3000K glow is often suggested for living and dining rooms, and this rectangular alabaster chandelier gives exactly that, filtered through stone.
Many Vastu guides place the dining area in the west of the home, and ask for the main light to hang centred over the table, with no dark corners and no flicker. Natural materials such as stone and wood are valued for grounding a room, and a balanced, rectangular form is seen as orderly and calm.
