Overview
This glass shade lamp is a ring of thick, rippled panels of clear borosilicate glass. Each panel is pinned to a gold band, high on a slim gold stem. It stands 60 cm (23.6 in) tall, and its glass drum is 35 cm (13.7 in) across.
Switch it on and the light breaks into soft ripples through every panel, like sunlight through melting ice. Unlit, the clear borosilicate glass catches the daylight and keeps the lamp looking light and airy.
Textured glass, pinned by hand
This glass begins as sand. Silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina melt into a glass that is crystal-clear and pure. Each panel is clear borosilicate glass, pressed with a deep, uneven texture while it is still soft. No two panels carry the same ripples. Our craftsman hangs them side by side on a gold ring, fixing each one with a small round gold pin, and closes the top with a disc of the same textured glass and a gold finial. That is what makes this a textured glass table lamp and not a plain shade: the light has to find its way through every ripple.
The stem, base, ring and pins are 304-grade stainless steel in a gold finish, with a lifetime warranty against rusting on orders from 4 October 2026. A braided fabric cord runs out from the base.
Where this glass shade lamp works
- Bedside tables. A glass night lamp that glows soft and warm for reading or winding down.

Light and fitting
This glass shade lamp has 3 G9 holders inside the drum. Bulbs are not included; fit three 3000K warm white G9 LEDs for the soft golden glow in the photos. The lamp is not dimmable. It plugs into a 220–240V wall socket and is made for indoor rooms (IP20). Our free video-call support is there if you want help setting it up.
Wipe the glass with a soft, dry cloth and the gold with a dry duster. We make every part ourselves, so one chipped panel never means a new lamp. Even 10 years from now, you can buy just that panel.
