Glass Fig Leaf – Clear Borosilicate Chandelier Component (100 mm, Box of 100)
A glass fig leaf for chandelier and jhumar work, in clear borosilicate glass shaped like a peepal leaf. Each leaf is moulded hot and finished by hand, so light runs through its raised veins and breaks into fine arcs. Each piece is 100 × 90 mm and 5 mm thick, and they come 100 to a box.

Overview
A glass fig leaf brings a jhumar back to life. One chipped leaf can spoil the whole shape, and a generic replacement never quite matches. This one is a clear borosilicate glass leaf in the shape of a peepal (sacred fig) leaf, 100 × 90 mm, made for chandeliers, jhumars and wall lights.
Look closely and you see the veins. A raised midrib runs to the long tip, and fine side veins sweep out to the edge, just like a real peepal leaf. A small glass loop at the stem end lets you hang it on a wire, pin or hook.
Clear borosilicate glass, shaped by hand
Glass belongs to the Light family in our work. Borosilicate glass is melted from silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. Nothing is added for colour, so this leaf stays crystal clear.
Each leaf is moulded while the glass is hot, and the edges are finished by hand. That is why no two leaves are perfectly alike. A tiny ripple at the edge is the mark of hands, not a fault.
Light the chandelier and each leaf works like a small lens. Light passes through the raised veins and breaks into fine, overlapping arcs on the ceiling and walls. Unlit, the leaves look clear, with a soft depth from the vein relief.
Where the glass fig leaf fits
- Chandelier and jhumar restoration. Replace chipped or missing leaves on an old fixture and keep its original look and scale.
- New chandelier builds. String the leaves in tiers on a bare frame for a cascade of clear glass, alone or mixed with other glass parts.
- Wall light accents. Fit single leaves on a backplate or bracket to add texture and sparkle.
- Interior projects. Architects and lighting contractors use them for decorative lighting in lobbies, banquet halls and large living rooms. See the full range of chandelier parts and jhumar spare parts for a matched build.
Will this fig leaf fit my chandelier?
The 100 mm fig leaf fits most standard Indian jhumar frames. It hangs on a pin, hook or wire of about 2 mm or wider, on straight or angled wire runs. You need no tools: the leaf hangs freely from its fitting point.
The clear glass sits well on frames in gold, antique brass, silver, chrome or antique bronze finish on 304-grade stainless steel. It mixes easily with K9 crystal drops, glass beads and other clear borosilicate parts. If you want an all-clear look, skip coloured glass of a different hue on the same frame.
We use this same fig leaf on our own chandeliers and jhumars. So if you are restoring a JagMag piece, this is an exact match.

FAQ
How do I hang the glass fig leaf?
Each leaf has a small glass fixing loop at the stem end. It is sized for standard chandelier wire and pins, about 2–3 mm, and slips onto most jhumar and chandelier frames without changes.
How many leaves do I need for a chandelier?
A typical three-tier Indian jhumar uses 30 to 60 leaves, depending on the frame size. One box of 100 covers a full chandelier with spares, or two smaller fixtures.
Can I mix these with crystal drops or other glass parts?
Yes. Clear borosilicate glass sits well beside K9 crystal drops, glass beads and other clear parts on one frame. The veins add texture without clashing with smooth crystal.
Is this the same leaf JagMag uses on its own chandeliers?
Yes. We make this fig leaf in our own factory and use it on our own chandelier and jhumar designs. It is an exact replacement if you are restoring a JagMag piece.
Is the glass fragile? How should I store it?
Borosilicate glass takes knocks better than ordinary glass, but it will chip if dropped on a hard floor. Keep spare leaves in their box on a padded shelf. Hold each leaf firmly while fitting, and never force the loop over a pin that is too thick.
Can I order fewer than 100 leaves?
This listing sells one box of 100 leaves, the smallest order. For a sample or a smaller quantity, contact us through the website before you order. We also give free video-call help if you are fitting the leaves yourself.
