Know your light
A faceted smoked glass pendant light in a vase-like drop form — 40 cm of angular, smoke-grey glass shaped into a sculptural silhouette, finished with a natural wood top cap and an antique brass metal canopy. A single E27 bulb hangs at the heart of the shade, casting a warm amber glow downward through the smoked glass walls. Made for one strong statement over a bedside table, a dining corner, or a kitchen island.
Where it fits
- Bedroom bedside: Hang a single drop 70–80 cm above a nightstand to replace a table lamp and free up surface space entirely.
- Dining table or kitchen island: Run two or three drops in a row, spaced 60–80 cm apart, for an even rhythm of warm light over a worktop or dining surface.
- Reading nook or study corner: The adjustable cord suits low and high ceilings alike; dial the height to exactly where you want the light to fall.
- Living room accent: Use as a solitary sculptural drop over a side table or accent chair to anchor a seating area without a floor lamp.
Why you’ll use it every day
The smoked glass filters the bare filament into a soft, warm amber — comfortable to read by without squinting, and flattering enough that you’ll leave it on through dinner. The cord adjusts to exactly the height you need, so it works over a low nightstand or a higher dining table without any adapter. The E27 fitting takes any warm-white LED filament off the shelf, giving you full control over brightness and easy future upgrades. During the day the angular, vase-shaped form holds its own as a piece of sculpture — you are not hiding it behind a shade, you are making it the feature.
Light & finish
Unlit, the smoked glass reads as a warm charcoal-grey with a subtle sheen — the faceted surfaces catch the light differently at each angle, giving the shade depth and dimension. Lit, the filament glows amber through the translucent smoked walls, pooling a warm, focused cone of light downward. The antique brass canopy and natural wood cap read as warm neutrals against plaster, dark walls, or timber furniture. The combination suits modern-industrial, mid-century, Japandi, and loft-style rooms. It pairs naturally with other smoked-glass or warm-metal fittings across the Jagmag pendant light collection.
Vaastu & positive energy
In Vaastu, glass is traditionally associated with clarity and openness, while a soft, diffused amber glow is regarded as a calming, restful quality of light rather than harsh glare. The urn or vase form, with its curves, is commonly associated with smooth energy flow. Natural wood brings the earth element, which Vaastu practitioners traditionally link to grounding and stability. Antique brass is associated with warmth and prosperity in many Indian design traditions. These associations are matters of cultural belief, not guaranteed outcomes.

Common questions
What size is the shade?
The shade is 40 cm tall and 14.5 cm at its widest. The canopy is 10 cm across. The cord drops up to 100 cm, giving a maximum overall hanging height of around 140 cm from ceiling to shade tip.
Does the pendant come with a bulb?
No bulb is included. The E27 fitting takes any standard bulb up to 60 W. A 4–8 W warm-white LED filament at 2700–3000 K is the most popular choice for this type of smoked glass shade.
Can I adjust the hanging height?
Yes — the cord is adjustable up to 100 cm. You can set it lower for a tight bedside drop or let it hang longer over a higher dining table.
Can I hang two or three of these together?
Yes. Two or three drops in a row over a dining table or kitchen island, spaced 60–80 cm apart, work very well. Each pendant ships individually, so order the number you need.
What colour does the glass appear unlit versus lit?
Unlit, the shade reads as smoke-grey with a slight charcoal depth — the facets catch ambient light and create dimension even without power. Lit with a warm-white filament, the glass glows amber and golden, warming the surrounding area considerably.
Is this pendant suitable for a bedroom?
Yes. The smoked glass filters the bulb into a soft, low-glare warm glow — comfortable for reading in bed without disturbing a partner, and flattering as an ambient bedside light. The adjustable cord lets you position it at exactly the right height above the nightstand.
