Overview
A glass globe floor lamp is a freestanding accent light that changes a room without touching a wall or ceiling. This Jagmag version stands 150 cm tall with three staggered opal borosilicate glass spheres — 15 cm, 12 cm, and 10 cm — on a polished gold metal frame. Each sphere wraps a G9 bulb in dense, opal borosilicate glass that diffuses the light into a warm, shadow-free halo. No drilling, no electrician — just plug in and switch on. Looking for a globe light lamp that needs no wall or ceiling? Here, three glowing lamp globes share one 150 cm stand.
Made by Jagmag Lights in Greater Noida, India. Every component is assembled in-house, so spare globes and replacement parts are available for years after your purchase.
Where it fits
- Living room beside the sofa — 150 cm puts warm ambient light at seated eye level, creating depth and atmosphere that no ceiling light can replicate.
- Bedroom reading corner or TV wall — the opal borosilicate glass diffuses the bulb completely, so there is no glare for tired eyes, and the foot switch means no reaching over a sleeping partner.
- Entrance hallway or hotel-style corridor — the staggered spheres read as sculpture by day and as a warm welcome light by evening.
- Home office or study accent — positions soft, indirect light away from the screen to ease eye strain without turning on overhead fixtures.
Why you’ll use it every day
Overhead lights point at the floor. This lamp puts warm light at exactly the level where you sit — reducing glare, adding depth, and making conversations feel softer. The opal borosilicate glass fully covers the G9 bulb, so even guests who glance directly at the shade see only a gentle, even glow. A parent can switch this on after the children are asleep and move through the room without disturbing anyone. When switched off, the polished gold frame and three graduated spheres still hold attention on a bare wall — a decorative piece that earns its place in the room at any hour. Light & finish
Switched on, each sphere glows as a complete warm globe — no visible filament, no hard shadows, just a soft halo that reads like candlelight from across the room. Switched off, the polished gold metal frame catches ambient light and the opal borosilicate glass spheres sit cleanly against any wall colour. This lamp suits warm-contemporary, Indo-modern, and classic-colonial interiors — particularly striking against deep greens, navy, terracotta, and off-white walls.
The three spheres are opal borosilicate glass — a dense, opal borosilicate glass that scatters light uniformly with no hot spots. The stem, joints, and round 25 cm base are polished gold metal. The base is weighted for stability. An inline foot switch sits on the cord close to the base for easy on/off without bending.
This is a freestanding plug-in floor lamp — no ceiling or wall fixing required. Place the base on a stable, level floor surface and plug into a standard 3-pin Indian socket. Recommended placement: 30–50 cm from the nearest wall so all three spheres are fully visible from the seating area.

In Vaastu, metal is traditionally associated with clarity and structured energy, while white and opal light are considered calming for evening gatherings. Warm, diffused floor lamps positioned in the south-east or north-east corner of a living room are associated with peaceful family time and relaxed conversation in some Vaastu interpretations. Three ascending light points are traditionally linked with balanced, upward energy. As with all Vaastu guidance, placement depends on the broader room arrangement and practitioner advice.
Care
·Dust regularly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth.
·Spot-clean with a pH-neutral cleaner on a cloth — never spray directly.
·Wipe the stainless steel gently dry after cleaning. Avoid abrasives and harsh chemicals.
·Indoor use only unless an IP rating is specified.
·Switch off the circuit before any electrical maintenance.
·Check mounting hardware periodically and tighten if needed.
FAQ
Is this glass globe lamp good for a living room?
Yes. Three opal borosilicate glass globes on a 150 cm stand give a soft, even glow beside a sofa or in a reading corner, with no glare. Each globe takes a G9 bulb (not included); fit 3000K warm-white LEDs.
How tall is this floor lamp and will it suit a 9-ft ceiling?
At 150 cm (59 inches), this lamp stands well below a 9-ft ceiling, leaving over a metre of clearance above the topmost globe. It is proportioned for standard Indian flats with 9-ft and 10-ft ceilings.
What bulb does this floor lamp use?
Each of the three G9 sockets takes a G9 LED bulb (not included). A 3–5W warm G9 at 3000K gives the best result and runs cool enough to touch the globe safely — widely available on Amazon India and at any electrical shop.
Can I use this lamp in a bedroom?
Yes — the opal borosilicate glass fully diffuses the bulb so there is no glare even from low angles, and the foot switch lets you turn it off without bending. Buyers often place it beside a TV wall or in a corner behind the bed as an alternative to a bedside lamp.
Does this lamp need an electrician to install?
No. It is a plug-in floor lamp with an inline foot switch. Plug it into a standard 3-pin socket, position it, and switch on — setup takes under five minutes and needs no tools.
Is the glass fragile? What happens if a globe breaks?
Opal borosilicate glass is dense and thick — noticeably sturdier than thin decorative glass. If a globe is ever damaged, Jagmag can supply replacement spheres individually because every component is made in-house in Greater Noida.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery across India takes 15–20 working days from order confirmation. Jagmag ships nationwide and the team will call to help you position the lamp correctly when it arrives.
