Why fabric instead of crystal or glass?
Fabric diffuses light gently and reduces glare. The result is softer ambient light — less sparkle, less performative, more even spread. Best for bedrooms, intimate dining, and quieter living rooms where the lighting should feel calm rather than dramatic.
What size fabric chandelier suits a bedroom?
Fabric drums and pleated shades read visually heavier than the same-diameter glass chandelier. Subtract 2 to 4 inches from the calculated diameter (room length plus width in feet) for fabric pieces — so a 12 × 14 ft bedroom takes a 22–24 inch fabric chandelier rather than 26.
How do I clean fabric shades?
Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum at low setting, or a lint roller for everyday dust. Avoid wet cleaning unless the shade is specifically labelled washable. Fabric collects dust faster than glass and is harder to clean — plan a 6-month cycle.
Are replacement shades available?
Yes. Replacement shades are available on most catalogue fabric chandeliers. For project orders we keep replacement shades in stock for the first 24 months. Custom fabric matching takes 4 to 6 weeks.
Can Jagmag match a specific fabric or colour?
Yes. Custom commissions cover fabric colour and pattern matching to a room palette, scale variations of catalogue forms, and frame finish coordination. Lead time 4 to 6 weeks. Project orders (matching pairs across multiple guest rooms) are common.
