Walk into The Grand Aura Hotel in Jammu and look up. A river of aqua-green glass seems to float across the ceiling, and a giant cube of glittering glass leaves hangs in the stairwell void. That is the hotel chandelier Jammu project we built for The Grand Aura — six big, sculptural ceiling installations, all made in India.
Here’s the full story: the idea, the real photos, the sizes, and how we built it.
Quick answer: The Grand Aura Hotel Jammu project is a custom JagMag Lights install of 6 oversized, sculptural ceiling lights and chandeliers in aqua-toned art glass. The hero pieces are a floating “glass river” that streams across the lobby ceiling and a tall cube of green glass leaves suspended in the double-height stairwell. Every fixture was designed, made and installed in-house in India.

The moment you walk in
First impressions decide a lot in a hotel.
A guest steps in from the road, tired from travel. In two seconds, their eyes go up. What they see there tells them what kind of place this is.
At The Grand Aura, that ceiling does the talking. Soft warm downlights wash the stone wall. And above it all, hundreds of little aqua-green glass pieces flow across the ceiling like a calm mountain stream — fitting, for a hotel in Jammu.
Then you reach the atrium. Look up the stairwell and a huge cube of glass leaves hangs in the air, catching light from every floor. It feels grand, but calm. That is the job of a great hotel chandelier — it makes people stop, smile, and reach for their phone camera.

The design idea: water, light and aqua glass
The brief was simple. Make the ceilings the star.
So we picked one idea and stuck to it: flowing water. Jammu sits near rivers and hills, so aqua-green felt right at home.
Two hero shapes carry that idea.
1. The glass river. Hundreds of small aqua-glass pieces hang at different heights. From the floor, they read as one long stream moving across the lobby ceiling. Warm light slips through them and lands soft on the walls.
2. The glass-leaf cube. In the stairwell, a tall open metal frame holds clusters of green glass leaves. It looks heavy and light at the same time. From every floor, you see a new angle.
The rest of the six fixtures carry smaller versions of the same look, so the whole hotel feels like one story — not six random lights.
Want the science of getting scale right in a tall space? This two-story foyer guide from Seus Lighting and this hotel lobby lighting guide both explain the same rule we used: in a double-height space, let the fixture drop in layers and stop well above head height.

How we built it, step by step
A project this big is mostly planning. Here’s the order we work in.
- Site study. We measure the lobby and stairwell heights, mark the ceiling points, and check how light moves through the day.
- Design and mock-up. We draw each fixture to scale and confirm the aqua glass tone, so the colour stays the same across all six.
- In-house making. Our team makes the metal frames and the art glass in our own factory in India. No imports, no waiting on a supplier abroad.
- Safe fixing. Each piece hangs from secure ceiling points, with hidden wiring and the bottom kept well above head height.
- Final tuning. We set the warm LED light, level every drop, and clean each glass piece before handover.

Why a hotel chandelier Jammu hotels trust is made in India
Here’s the thing. A hotel light is not a one-time buy. You live with it for years.
So the real question is: who fixes it five years later?
That’s where being a real manufacturer matters. We make every part ourselves, so we can make the exact same part again — even a decade on. Importers often can’t.
| What hotels care about | JagMag (Make-in-India maker) | Typical importer / stockist |
|---|---|---|
| Spare parts later | Available 10+ years — we still make it | Often gone once stock ends |
| Custom lead time | About 15–20 working days | Around 60–120 days |
| Fixing an issue | Our own team, often overnight | Wait on an overseas supplier |
| Re-order the same piece | Yes, any time | Hard once a design is dropped |
JagMag Lights is a government-recognised (DPIIT) and government-funded Make-in-India lighting manufacturer based in Greater Noida. We build for hotels, banquets and homes across the country — like our SKA Destiny One double-height lobby and our SKA Orion glass-leaf project in Noida.
Want something like this?
You don’t need a hotel to get this look.
Love the cascading glass? The Wave Chandelier with cascading glass leaves brings the same flow to a living or dining room. For a tall foyer, the Glass Feather hand-blown cascade drops beautifully. And for a stairwell like The Grand Aura’s, the Talar Murano staircase chandelier is a stunner.

FAQs
How many lights are in the Grand Aura Hotel Jammu project?
Six custom ceiling lights and chandeliers, all in aqua-toned art glass, spread across the lobby, atrium and stairwell.
What is the design made of?
Hand-finished aqua-green art glass on metal frames, lit with warm LED. Every part is made in our own factory in India.
Can I get a similar hotel chandelier in Jammu for my own project?
Yes. We design, make and install custom fixtures anywhere in India, with a typical custom lead time of about 15–20 working days.
How high should a chandelier hang in a double-height lobby?
Let it drop in layers from near the upper floor and stop well above head height — usually about 7–8 feet clear of the floor below.
Will spare parts be available years later?
Yes. Because we manufacture in-house, we can remake the exact same part even 10+ years on — something most importers can’t promise.
