The design: why this banquet chandelier Surat showpiece stops people
Here’s the thing. Most banquet halls hang a few separate chandeliers in a row. Safe. A bit boring.
Topaz Radiance wanted one bold statement instead.
So we built a single rectangular fixture that fills a whole recessed panel in the ceiling. Look closely and you’ll see two crystal layers working together.
At the back, a thick curtain of smoky crystal rods — fine grey-tinted glass rods hanging straight down. Smoky just means a soft grey tint, like sunglasses for crystal. It gives depth and a moody, premium feel.
In front, a flowing clear-crystal swirl pattern. Think of waves, vines, and leaf shapes drawn in the air, each one packed with sparkling clear crystal beads and edged in gold. Tiny amber lights peek through the curls.
Put the two together and you get contrast. The smoky grey sits back. The clear crystal jumps forward and sparkles. Your eye can’t look away.

How we built and fitted it (5 simple steps)
A piece like this isn’t bought off a shelf. We made it. Here’s how, in plain steps.
- Measure the ceiling. We mapped the exact recessed panel so the fixture would fill it edge to edge — no awkward gaps.
- Design the swirl pattern. Our team drew the flowing curls by hand, then built a curved steel frame to hold each one.
- Make the crystal. Smoky rods and clear cut-crystal beads were produced in our own factory, then sorted by length and tone.
- String and trim. Each strand was hung at the right depth and the gold edging was fitted, so the swirls read as 3D, not flat.
- Install and wire. Our own team fitted it on site, hid the wiring, and set the soft LEDs. You can see the ladders and our technician in one of the photos above.
