Overview
One cracked globe can make a whole chandelier look tired. This orange glass ball for chandelier puts it right. It is a 5 inch (about 13 cm) round globe in glossy, translucent orange borosilicate glass, with one open fitter neck.
Unlit, it is a rich, saturated orange that adds colour even in daylight. Switch it on and it glows a deep honey-amber. It is a spare part, not a full light. It brings a chandelier, jhumar or pendant back to life, and the fitting stays as it is.
Orange borosilicate glass, blown and finished by hand
Borosilicate glass begins as natural raw ingredients: silica sand, boric oxide, soda ash and alumina. Melted together, they make glass that is crystal-clear and pure.
For this ball, the orange colour is added while the glass is made. So the colour is part of the glass, not a coat of paint. A craftsman then blows it into a smooth, round globe and finishes the short neck that sits on your holder.
Light passes through the orange body and comes out warm. With a warm 3000K LED inside, it washes the arms of the fitting and the wall behind it in soft amber. The glossy surface catches the room’s light and adds a quiet shine on gold and brass-finish arms.
What this 5 inch orange glass ball fits
- Multi-arm chandeliers and jhumars. The 5 inch size sits neatly between the arms. Repeat it on every arm for one even, warm colour.
- Single-globe pendant lights. Swap a plain white globe for a honey-toned glow, with no rewiring.
- Wall sconces and table lamps with a glass-ball holder. An easy colour change on a fitting you already love.
It looks right on gold, antique brass and warm bronze finishes. Against a matte black frame it makes a bold contrast. Use a warm 3000K LED. Cool daylight bulbs (5000K and above) wash out the amber glow. On a very large fixture, a 5 inch globe may look too small, so pick a bigger ball there.
Fitting your new orange glass ball
This ball is glass only. It has no holder, wiring or bulb of its own. It slips over a standard chandelier socket (E14 or E27) fitted with a glass-ball holder or fitter ring.

It is made for indoor fittings. To clean it, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth once the light is off and cool.
