Know your light
Alabaster twist pendant lights look different lit and unlit — and both versions are worth having. Three slender natural alabaster cylinders hang from a round 200 mm black metal canopy at staggered heights, each one twisted so the stone catches light from a different angle at every position in the room. Choose amber alabaster for warm golden veining, or grey alabaster for a cooler, more editorial tone. The cluster drops 900 mm from ceiling to pendant tip, adjustable up to 1500 mm — built for dining tables, kitchen islands, and double-height living spaces. Made in India.
Where it fits
- Dining table — the 200 mm canopy centres neatly over a 4–6 seater table. Position the lowest pendant 700–800 mm above the surface and the light falls exactly where meals happen.
- Kitchen island or bar counter — warm stone glow over a counter makes prep and entertaining feel considered rather than functional.
- Home bar — a cluster of staggered pendants above a beverage station signals that the space was designed, not assembled.
- Living room accent corner — hung beside a sofa or reading chair, the three pendants at different heights add vertical sculpture to an otherwise flat wall.
Why you’ll use it every day
The cluster runs on one circuit — one switch moves you from standard overhead light to warm alabaster glow. The twist in each pendant means the light scatters at multiple angles as you move around the room; the effect shifts from every seat at the table. Because the cord adjusts from 900 to 1500 mm, you position the light precisely rather than working around a fixed drop. And because alabaster looks considered even when the power is off — three pale stone cylinders against a black canopy — it earns its place in the room during the day too.
Hand-cut from natural alabaster — which means no two are alike. The veins run differently. The colour shifts. The edges darken where the stone is denser. Light it up and you get a glow that belongs to your piece and nothing else. One block of stone. One light. Never repeated.
Light & finish
Unlit, the alabaster cylinders are a sculptural element in their own right — natural stone variation means each piece has slightly different veining, and the twisted form reads as an intentional design decision rather than a standard fitting. Lit, the stone glows from within: the amber variant produces a warm, gold-toned pool of light that flatters food and skin tones; the grey variant gives a softer, more neutral glow suited to white, sage, and pale stone interiors. Both colourways pair well with matte black furniture, dark timber, marble surfaces, and aged brass. The black metal canopy and end caps keep the cluster anchored in contemporary and industrial schemes without competing for attention.

Vaastu & positive energy
In Vaastu, natural stone is traditionally associated with stability and grounded energy. Alabaster, being a translucent stone that diffuses light rather than directing it harshly, is associated in Vaastu-aligned interiors with calm and balanced environments. Three pendants are traditionally considered auspicious — an odd number is associated with movement and forward energy. The warm amber tone is considered nourishing for dining and living spaces where family gathers; the grey tone is suited to meditative or creative spaces. Position the cluster above the central gathering point of the room to align with the natural energy flow of the space.

What buyers say
Common questions
What ceiling height does this pendant light need?
A minimum of 9 ft (2700 mm) works well — the total drop adjusts from 900 mm to 1500 mm, so there is room to position the lowest pendant 700–800 mm above a dining table. For ceilings below 9 ft, shorten the cord to minimum and measure your hanging height before ordering.
Does this come in both amber and grey alabaster?
Yes. The amber variant glows warm gold when lit — suited to dining rooms and living rooms where you want a welcoming tone. The grey variant produces a softer, more neutral glow suited to white, sage, and pale interiors. Both are natural stone with their own veining variation.
Can I order a custom drop length?
Yes — contact us for a pendant longer or shorter than the standard 900–1500 mm range. Custom orders take 15–20 working days from confirmation. Single-pendant configurations are also available on request.
Is the alabaster fragile? What if a piece is damaged in transit?
Alabaster is a natural stone and can chip if dropped on a hard surface. We pack each cluster carefully for transit and stock spare alabaster pieces for this design. If a pendant arrives damaged, contact us and we will replace the piece.
Can this cluster hang over a rectangular dining table?
Yes. The 200 mm round canopy works over both round and rectangular tables — it centres visually and the staggered pendants spread across the table width enough to light the full surface. For long tables above 2 m, consider two clusters in a row.
Is there a single-pendant version of the alabaster twist design?
Yes — contact us for single-pendant pricing and configuration. Single pendants suit bedside use or narrow spaces such as a reading nook or bathroom vanity where a cluster would be too wide.
